Aperitivo in MONTALCINO with Connor Gallagher - Thursday October 8th
Join us at La Bottega for an evening devoted to one of Italy’s most storied wines: Brunello di Montalcino.
Set among the rolling hills of southern Tuscany, Montalcino has built its reputation around a single grape - Sangiovese - transformed here into wines celebrated for their elegance, structure, complexity and remarkable ability to age.
Sommelier Connor Gallagher will lead us through a tasting of Brunello from a selection of producers, exploring how vineyard, vintage and winemaking shape distinctly different expressions of this iconic wine. Along the way, we’ll get into the questions every Brunello lover wants answered: What makes Brunello so special? Which bottles are drinking beautifully now? Which should you put away - and for how long? And what should you look for when choosing a bottle for your own cellar?
Expect beautiful Brunello, Tuscan-inspired aperitivo snacks and plenty of conversation - a little taste of Montalcino, right here at La Bottega.
This is a seated tasting. Includes aperitivo sparkling wine, 5 premium Brunello, conversation and antipasti.
